About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Leader will be responsible for collaborating with the wider business and have a focus on producing sustainable profit as well as maintaining and developing new and existing client relationships.
Requirements
We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Leader to join a rapidly growing and dynamic team. As a Business Leader at PTG Consulting you’ll gain exposure to a wide array of experiences and projects, leading the Structures team across Queensland.
Operational
Prepare, implement and monitor an annual business plan;
Manage complex projects through provision of advice and tactical input;
Monitor progress of work to ensure compliance with programs and budgets; and
Provide guidance on risk management, contract and design fees.
Client Management
Manage key client relationships;
Engage with your own network to grow new client relationships and bring in work;
Promote excellence in project delivery, securing repeat work by ensuring client satisfaction; and
Ensure contracts, fees and scopes of work are documented.
People Leadership
Manage and lead team dynamics so that teams are working effectively;
Prepare and implement team development and engagement plans; and
Lead and guide all staff members, ensuring clear communication of the business's objectives, actions and focus.
Prerequisite Experience:
RPEQ required;
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction or similar;
Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering (structural preferred) and at least 5 in project or business management roles;
Understanding of commercial concepts (e.g. financial and legal);
Exceptional skills in communication, connecting with employees and clients alike, and giving meaning to the work people do;
Strong leadership capability with managing and leading geographically disperse teams; and
Proven capability in turning organisation visions into tangible actions and plans.
