The house is a large, double storey luxury home with suspended concrete slab upper floor, and extensive cantilever balconies to take advantage of the lot’s waterfront views. PTG Consulting assisted the construction with our full scope of Structural, Geotechnical, and Civil engineering services.

Working to satisfy the client’s vision, the structure had to be designed as such that no supporting elements would spoil the pristine views. As such, PTG Consulting designed the balcony floor and roof to cost-effectively over 5 m from the main dwelling. The lateral stability was challenging, with wind loading supported by only 3 posts through the fully windowed northern end.
