The 61 Back Street project comprised of a high-end 12-floor architectural landmark in Biggera Waters harboured on the Gold Coast canals. The development has been designed to fulfil the bespoke and luxury residential living demand in South-East Queensland off fed by the “lifestyle” migration into the market. Core Property partners and Kris Kowalski Architects have developed the architectural design to withstand the volatility of the construction market in order satisfy stakeholder feasibility expectations.
Our team was engaged to develop an economical, solution-driven and efficient design for the structural and civil engineering professional services to manage both commercial and technical risks associated with the development. An ECI phase of the design has required PTG Consulting to engage with key subcontractors including retention specialist and specialist consultants to manage changing Development Application conditions and manage litigious technical issues.
The structural design was refined to offset rising construction cost, specifically through adopting preferred subcontractor methodologies and materials as the key controlling the criteria to maintain an efficient and feasible outcome.
