Spanning approximately 11 hectares at Redbank in Ipswich, Queensland the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) is the most advanced military vehicle manufacturing facility in Australia and cost approximately $170M.
PTG Consulting undertook construction services for the project in order help the Principal Contractor, Watpac, and subsequent subcontractors deliver the project ahead of schedule. During this time we undertook upwards of 180 geotechnical engineering site reports. Completed in 2020 the site contains:
- manufacturing, electronics and administration buildings
- a corporate training centre
- an outdoor vehicle test track
- a 3-storey electromagnetic compatibility chamber
- a 100-metre fully-enclosed weapons test firing tunnel
- car parking for employees and visitors, vehicle storage, refuelling and wash-down bays, water storage tanks, waste and recycling facilities.
